Announcing release of Short Story

My first published short story, On a Dark & Snowy Night, is now available in paperback or e-book on Amazon (for Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (for Nook).
This quick read is a closer look at what made Hoke Mathews flee the town of Independence, Missouri as a boy. It’s a timely release for the holidays as Hoke finds himself fleeing on Christmas day.
From the back cover:
Hoke Mathews is fifteen, orphaned, and now he’s running scared after having killed a man. It will take him twenty years to return to the town that holds his darkest memories.
But now a light has appeared on the horizon beyond Independence, and it’s pulling him back. Hoke can’t make out the origins of the light, but he feels its pull as strongly as he felt the pull of a light on the night he fled—a light that offered him hope in his darkest hour.

2nd Novel Coming Soon

My soon-to-be-released second novel, A Contradiction to His Pride, is the story of James Parker and Corrine Baldwyn, with many of the characters in LI making a return appearance, including Hoke and Abigail. I don’t have a firm release date yet, but edits are nearing completion. So…stay tuned!
A short excerpt from A Contradiction to His Pride is included in the back of On a Dark & Snowy Night.
